The Fashionable Frequent Flyers

When I think of Beverly Hills, the first thing that comes to mind is: opulence, sophistication, style, and all-round class! Over the years, Beverly Hills has become emblematic of the elegance and voguish style that the city of Los Angeles is known for. It’s home to some of the finest restaurants in LA, as well as the most high-end fashion boutiques and clothing outlets. Beverly Hills is not necessarily known for being home to the finest hotels in Los Angeles, not because these hotels are not there, but just because the other things the neighborhood is famous for have always taken priority! However, as a luxury travel and hotel expert, allow me to change that perspective and introduce you to the SLS Beverly Hills — the finest luxury hotel in all of Beverly Hills!

Let’s start with the experience arriving at the hotel, and the aesthetics! It’s no accident that the title of this hotel review includes the terms “the red carpet experience.” Literally, as soon as you pull up to the front of the hotel, you are met with a red carpet that leads you right to the front door of the hotel. It is slick and elegant, and makes all guests feel like royalty upon arrival. The complimentary decor adds to that feeling of glamour and style. That general feeling carries out throughout the hotel — the design and decor are elegance and beauty personified. The shared and common areas are beautifully designed, as are the suites. (Check out the one bedroom deluxe suite here). The hotel is an absolute marvel in the heart of Beverly Hills.

But, that’s not all! While this isn’t a usual metric for how I evaluate other luxury stays, we are talking about Los Angeles, and, of course, as a frequent visitor to LA, I like to get out, get good vibes, meet fun people, etc. SLS Beverly Hills is THE SPOT – the rooftop pool (which is absolutely breathtaking by the way) is home to some of the most incredible parties in Los Angeles. On weekends, there’s usually a DJ on site bringing the vibes, and it’s generally a great place to connect with other hotel guests and locals. Several celebrities frequent this location, and after spending a decent amount of time at the rooftop pool, it’s obvious to me why they do so! So, when you’re out here, make sure to check it out.

Finally, let’s touch on the service. Y’all have heard me say that the hallmark of a true luxury hotel is the service. The service at SLS Beverly Hills was top notch. All of my needs were met swiftly and competently throughout the hotel, including front desk staff, concierge, housekeeping, and in-room dining staff. The only shortcoming (which, frankly, is understandable) was service at the pool, which was slow from time to time. While there is room for improvement there, I was generally very pleased with the service at the hotel.

I would return to the SLS Beverly Hills in a heartbeat. This hotel gets the FFF 4.5/5 star rating. I look forward to revisiting.
