Royal Davui Island

If there’s one place that completely took my breath away, it was Royal Davui Island Resort. This adults-only resort sits on its own private island in the Beqa Lagoon and somehow manages to feel both exclusive and completely welcoming from the moment you arrive. Justin and I were greeted at the dock with a beautiful welcome song from the staff. It was such a warm touch and instantly set the tone for everything that followed. Royal Davui Island Resort is the kind of place that wraps you in peace. With no crowds, no chaos, and only the sounds of ocean waves and tropical birds, it’s easy to slip into full-on relaxation mode.

Our villa came with sweeping views of the turquoise water, a private plunge pool, and just enough seclusion to make it feel like we had the island to ourselves. The villa was equipped with a full bar, a large jacuzzi, and floor-to-ceiling windows. We woke to the dreamy ocean and watched the sunset every evening right before dinner. I mean it was just pure VIBES! Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, honeymoon, or even a luxurious group trip with your favorite people, this resort delivers on all the dreamy island vibes.

The food here was another level. Fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully presented, each dish felt like it was crafted with care. For the most part, the meals were prefixed, so you really just chose between one fantastic option over the other! One of my favorite dishes was their poke rice bowl, it was so good and filling! And it wasn’t just the food that stood out—the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, learning our names within hours and singing to us again as we left. I’ve never had a goodbye quite like that.

There’s plenty to do if you’re feeling adventurous. Justin and I took a ride on a boat to explore the sandbar and signed up for night snorkeling, where we swam alongside lobsters and even spotted a black-tip reef shark. The following day, we had a relaxing couples massage and were lulled to sleep by the sound of the crashing waves. One activity I wish we did was riding the hobbi, which looks like a baby catamaran boat-it was an activity that was constantly booked at the times we were free. Overall, the activities were fun and offered the perfect blend of excitement and ease.

Royal Davui Fiji isn’t just a destination. It’s an experience. One that feels intimate, unhurried, and completely unforgettable. Whether you’re visiting with your partner or gathering your crew for a luxe group getaway, this place has a way of making time slow down in the best way. Between the accommodations, the food, and the wonderful staff, I would rate this resort a 5 out of 5.
