Seattle’s Essential Checklist: Must-Dos for a Perfect City Escape!
Today, I’m thrilled to spill the beans on one of the most captivating cities out there – Seattle. Our time there was short and sweet, but enough to unravel the magic of the Emerald City, where the Space Needle reaches for the skies, Chihuly’s glass creations are an artist’s daydream, exploring the city via seaplanes, the Smith Tower invites you for cocktails in the clouds, and 67 Restaurant sets the stage for a culinary affair that’ll make this trip unforgettable. So, kick back, relax, and let’s dive into the whimsical wonderland that is Seattle!
Space Needle: Sky’s the Limit (Literally!)
Heading to Seattle and not checking out the Space Needle? Impossible! It’s not just a tower; it’s like taking a funky elevator straight to cloud nine. Picture this – a rotating glass floor giving you that magical ‘walking on air’ vibe. Whether you’re chasing sunsets or embracing the nocturnal spirit, the Space Needle promises a view that will leave you starry-eyed. And oh, don’t miss out on The Lupe Lounge; it’s a rotating restaurant up there. Quick tip: snag those reservations in advance for an extra dose of awe!
Chihuly Garden and Glass: Nature and Art in a Groovy Tango
Right by the Space Needle, there’s the Chihuly Garden – a place where Dale Chihuly’s glass wonders are in a constant dance with nature. It’s like stepping into an artist’s psychedelic daydream. Rooms filled with hanging glass sculptures and mind-blowing formations make you question reality. Each piece is a visual treat, making me feel like I’m part of some trippy art experiment.
Sea Plane Tour: Taking the Sky by Storm
Now, when was the last time you hopped on a seaplane? We decided to seize the moment, and boy, was it a chill experience! Taking off from the water, we soared above the city and waterways. Flying close to the Space Needle, we got a high-on-life view of Seattle. Thrilled to tick ‘Sea Plane’ off my list – what a ride!
Clock Tower Drinks: Sipping Nostalgia in the Clouds
Venturing into the historic Smith Tower was like stepping into a time machine. The 35th floor, with its speakeasy-style bar, had me sipping old-fashioned cocktails while soaking in a view that, sure, wasn’t as grand as the Space Needle. But here’s the twist – bars kinda obstructed the view, safety first, I guess. Yet, the vibes inside the Smith Tower outshone the competition. Local charm, historic décor – this place knows how to set the mood. A chill spot to take a breather from the non-stop action!
67 Restaurant: Culinary Vibes by the Water
To my fellow foodies, 67 Restaurant is the real deal! Locally sourced ingredients, inventive creations – each bite is a party of flavors. The rib-eye stole the show, seriously juicy and bursting with flavor! Wrapped in a cozy blanket of warm ambiance, every bite feels like a note in the gastronomic melody of the Pacific Northwest. And oh, did I mention the restaurant sits by the water? Perfect setting for some quality daydreaming while you devour your meal.
In a nutshell, Seattle cast its spell on us in a whirlwind of moments – from the dizzying heights of the Space Needle to the vibrant dance of Chihuly’s glass wonders, the serenity of seaplane skies, the nostalgic sips at the Smith Tower, to the flavorful crescendo at 67 Restaurant. Short, sweet, and utterly unforgettable. As the curtain falls on this chapter, Seattle, you’ve earned a spot in our hearts. Until next time!!!
