The Perfect Romantic Getaway in The Best Treehouse in Maine!
For most of the winter, I searched far and wide for the perfect weekend getaway! For whatever reason, I’ve never really vibed with winter in the city. But, instinctively, I knew that I would love winter a lot more in the woods, surrounded by snow, out in nature! And let me tell y’all, I was not wrong! I found this amazing property through Instagram called the Cliff House, run by Purposely Lost (Instagram: @purposelyl). The Cliff House is a two-bedroom luxury treehouse in Springvale, Maine, with an amazing nook area, beautiful dining and kitchenette area, and one bathroom. On the exterior, there is a hot tub, campfire area, and barbeque area. The Cliff House is also located right by the lake, and the property provides you with canoes in case you’re willing to brave the cold and get out on the water.
If you’re wondering whether you’ll be fully disconnected from the outside world, the answer is no; so don’t you worry! There is cell service in the area where the treehouse is located, the treehouse has wifi, and there’s even a projector to watch movies or tv shows (if you so wish)! This was ideal because I wanted to work remotely while we were away but also disconnect for several hours when I needed to take a break. This is what worked for me, though. If you want to disconnect entirely, you can certainly do that! I should also say that, while this property was incredible in the winter, it would be just as amazing in the summer or in the fall :).
